Common Cash App problems and how to fix them

Account locked or can't log in

Request a new sign-in code to your registered phone/email. Cash App never asks for your PIN, sign-in code, or to install 'remote support' apps.

Unauthorized payment or fraud

Cash App payments are instant and often can't be reversed — request a refund from the recipient, or report it under the payment → '...' → Report an issue.

Link a bank/card or transfer fails

Re-enter card details and confirm your bank isn't blocking it. Standard cash-outs take 1–3 days; Instant charges a fee.

Cash Card activation or dispute

Activate under the Card tab (scan the QR or enter the CVV). Dispute a Cash Card charge via Support in the app.

Direct deposit or tax documents

Find your routing/account numbers under the Money tab; tax forms appear under Documents once available.
